Two Hydel Projects in Kerala Gets Nod from KSEB

In a meeting the Director of Kerala State Electricity Board told that the approval for two projects have been given nod, namely two gas-based units in Brahmapuram for generation of 36 MW and Bhoothathankettu hydel project aimed at production of 24 MW of power.
Administrative sanction has been accorded for the Brahamapuram project, with an outlay of Rs 144.8 crore. The Bhoothathankettu project costing Rs 86.81 crore has also been given the go-ahead.
Power house works on the Bhoothathankettu small hydel project has been assigned to Saravana Engineering Bhavani-RPP Infra joint venture, which had quoted 18.09 per cent less than the estimated rate for the project.
