Women Police Teams in Kerala

Govt of Kerala has decided to implement women police teams in the state to tackle cases of attack on women’s in Kerala and ensure their protection and speedy trials under the Inspector General of Police.
Home department sources said the team, comprising four IPS officers, would be entrusted with investigation of cases of crimes against women, including rape, sex racket and sexual exploitation. IGP B Sandhya would head the team.
