Kerala State School IT Mela to be Hosted by Trivandrum

The 11th edition of the annual Kerala State School IT Mela will be held in Thiruvananthapuram on January 23, 2013. The School IT Mela 2013 will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Shri Oommen Chandy in the presence of Minister for Education, Shri P K Abdu Rabb and Minster for Industries & IT, Shri P K Kunhalikutty.

Various competitions like Digital Painting, Malayalam Typing, IT Project, Web Page Designing, Multimedia presentations and IT Quiz will be held in two separate categories for High School and Higher Secondary School students. All these competitions will be held on FOSS based software’s. There will also be two interactive sessions on Career Focus and Cyber Crime awareness as part of the IT Mela.

The Technopark in Trivandrum will host the IT Fest for the sixth consecutive year. The Park Centre and the ICFOSS Centre in the Technopark campus will be the venues for the different events and competitions.
