Trivandrum International Stadium inaugurated by Oommen Chandy.

Oonmen Chandy inaugurates the Trivandrum International Stadium Karyavattom for 35th National Games that will be held in kerala from january 31 to 14 february 2015.

The multi-purpose stadium is slated to be the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the is scheduled to host the opening and closing ceremonies of the National Games.

The stadium has a seating capacity of 50,000 and can host both football and cricket matches as well as indoor sport. The staidum also has facilities like players’ lounge, gymnasium, media centre, shopping outlets and food courts. There is also a convention centre and club house. There are indoor courts for squash, volleyball, table tennis and basketball along with an Olympic size Swimming pool.
