Sreesanth The Kerala Star Cricket Personality was recently caught for spot fixing in IPL 2013 and is behind bars in Tihar Jail. The loyal fans of the player have started a Campaigns owing that the player is not guilty and is being trapped in some big scandal.
A parallel movement started by his loyal fans in support of the cricketer is gaining momentum online. The ‘Save Sreesanth Forum’ on Facebook, which was started by Sreesanth’s friend and entrepreneur Aby Mathew, received nearly 2000 likes days within its launch.
Aby has uploaded a collage of photographs of Sreesanth, all of which have him with a towel tucked in his trousers. “I collected those photos from some of the matches Sreesanth has been a part of, including test matches, 20:20s and IPL matches. I believe that Sreesanth tucking a towel in his trousers is not proof enough of his involvement in the spot fixing scandal,” Aby says and further adds, “He is someone who made a comeback, and was well aware of the match fixing issues. For the sake of a few lakhs, I don’t think he would jeopardise his career. I feel something is definitely fishy,” he says.
