The Kerala Cricket Association has developed a sympathetic obligation for banned cricketer S. Sreesanth and has decided to write a ‘fact finding’ letter to the BCCI.The KCA central council that met here on Friday agreed upon dropping its query in the BCCI mailbox, after a conversation with Sreesanth.
“We are not going for an appeal. It will just be a fact finding letter and firstly we must sit and talk with Sreesanth,“ said KCA president T.C. Mathew. He explained the KCA was not against the BCCI’s decision, but acting out of ‘sympathy’ for Sreesanth, whom they consider the ‘elitist’ cricketer to emerge from Kerala.
“Sreesanth is in Bangalore and when he comes back we will talk to him and if the result of the meeting is satisfactory then we will write our letter to the BCCI,” said Mathew on Friday.
KCA office bearers had met certain BCCI officials in Chennai two days ago and they have also decided to meet the Board’s vicepresident Arun Jaitley in the next few days.
