Kerala to Face Chhattisgarh in Women National Hockey Championship
Kerala and Chhattisgarh will be facing the final in the Junior Women’s National Championship (Division B) in Mysore. Both the team have played well and showed great effort and team work.
In the first semi-final, Chhattisgarh defeated Manipur 4-0. Chhattisgarh’s Ishika Chaudhary was responsible for scoring the first goal (8th minute) followed by Priyanka Parihar (34th). In the second half, Akanksha Parmar and Sadhna Sengar banked a field goal each in the 38th and 65th minutes, respectively.
In the second semi-final, Kerala gave a shocker to Gangpur-Odisha by trouncing them 2-0. In the 26th minute Sindhu M.R. scored a field goal while Amala Thomas scored the second in the 68th minute.
