National Games: Kerala win 38th Gold, Climb to 2nd Spot
In the ongoing35th National Games,Keralabag eight more Gold Medals, Kerala bagged 38 Gold, 38 Silver and 54 Bronze medals, (total 130) till the noon. Now Kerala is on the 2nd position in the overall Ranking.
Earlier on thrusday Mahita Mohan won Kerala’s 30th gold in 20km point race final in the elite women’s category at the 35th National Games underway here.
Parvathy V.G. and Bismi also Kerala won silver and bronze in the point race final in elite women category.
Kerala began on a spectacular note on Thursday with the state bagging two gold medals in cycling and kayaking events in the National Games. The state with 30 gold medals is now in the second position, behind Services.
Kerala women’s team had earlier won gold in 500m kayaking held in Alappuzha. The team that won the gold medal comprised of Anusha Biju, K. Minimol, Justymol and Tressa.
