Semifinal Between Kerala and Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh will take on Kerala in the first semifinal while the two hosts teams, TNCA XI and TNCA President’s XI, will clash in the other last-four match of the Buchi Babu cricket tournament, after registering wins their respective quarterfinals here today.
Uttar Pradesh beat defending champions Karnataka by six wickets while last year’s runners up Kerala registered an upset win over star-studded Haryana by seven wickets. In the other quarterfinals, TNCA defeated Andhra Pradesh by 69 runs while TNCA President XI got past Hyderabad by 225 runs.
Brief Scores: Karnataka 230 in 74 overs lost to UPCA 231 for four in 62 overs (Tanmay Srivastava 54, Mohd. Kaif 60, Umang Sharma 42 not out, Akshdeep Nath 61 not out)
TNCA XI 261 in 96.3 overs bt Andhra 192 in 70.2 overs (D B Prasanth Kumar 102, Ricky Bhui 57, R Ashwin 5/42, Vijay Anand 2/34, Rahil S Shah 2/61)
Haryana 352 for nine in 100 overs lost to Kerala 355 for three in 89.1 overs (Abhishek Hegde 42, Niklesh Surendran 134, Robert Fernandez 85 not out, Sachin Baby 60 not out) TNCA President’s XI 396-9 in 100 overs bt Hyderabad 171 in 62.1 overs (Amol Shinde 74, Hanuma Vihari 30, Malolan Rangarajan 6/49, R Aushik Srinivas 2/50, L Balaji 1/21, Sunil Sam 1/35).
