Malayalam actress Shweta Menon has withdrawn her molestation complaint against Congress MP Peethambara Kurup after he apologised to her. The actress insists that she was not pressured by anyone to do so. “There is no pressure whatsoever behind this move.
In the wake of Mr Peethambara Kurup’s repeated public and personal apologies about the incident at the President boat race at Kulam, I’m withdrawing all legal and other actions against him,” Menon said. But a police case has been filed based on a complaint by Opposition members.
An FIR was filed against Peethambara Kurup for allegedly molesting Shweta Menon. Menon had filed a police complaint alleging that Kurup had molested her at the President’s Trophy boat race three days ago.
