E K Bharat Bhushan to be Kerala New Chief Secretory

New Delhi
E K Bharat Bhushan, the 1979 batch Kerala cadre high-profile IAS officer serving as special secretary and financial advisor in the Ministry of Steel has been appointed Chief Secretary to God’s own country – Kerala. He will assume charge soon.
Bhushan has served in key positions in different ministries including aviation and steel but the most notable one was as Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). His tenure as DGCA was cut short abruptly for taking on the now grounded Kingfisher Airlines owned by liquor baron Vijay Mallya.
Bhushan had to step down as DGCA as he had raised a flag about KfA’s finances or the lack of it which led to his transfer to an insignificant outpost as special secretary in the Steel Ministry.
