KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala has denied reports that he would meet Chief Minister Oommen Chandy to find a solution to the issues related to his entry into the ministry. “We will meet the CM on Tuesday to present him a vision document on the development of Kerala, compiled by the KPCC after Kerala Yatra.
Speaking to the media after the stone-laying function of the new DCC office here on Monday, Chennithala said that the vision document was prepared by P M Suresh Babu, development committee convener of the KPCC, compiling valid suggestions received during the Yatra. It will be submitted to the CM on Tuesday morning at the secretariat, he said.
Chennithala asked the CPM state leadership to clarify whether it endorsed the moves by some of its district leaders in Ernakulam against the proposed international convention centre at Bolgatty, forcing the Lulu Group to back off. He termed it ‘unfortunate’, referring to the withdrawal of the Lulu Group from the project. “The Congress stands for bringing more investment to Kerala.
The CPM leadership should explain their position on the issues that led the Lulu Group’s forced withdrawal,” he said.
