First Phase Of Local Self Government Elections Crossed 30 Persent In Kerala
Polling percentage in the LSG elections crossed 30 percent by noon.
The first phase of local self-government elections is being held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Idukki, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kasaragod and Kannur districts.
Idukki and Wayanad topped the list while heavy rains resulted in low voter turnout in Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam.
No major untoward incident was reported till noon. There were minor incidents of violence in Kannur and Kollam districts. The total number of voters and candidates in the seven districts are 1,11,11006 and 31161 respectively.
