Kerala CM meet Venkaiah on Light Metro project
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will take up the matters of Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode light metro projects during his upcoming meeting with Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu.
Disclosing this, the Chief Minister said, We have sought time from the government. PWD Minister V K Ibrahimkunju and E Sreedharan, DMRC principal adviser too will be on the team, which will visit the Union Minister.
According to the Chief Minister, all apprehension regarding the light metro projects will be removed.
Moreover, he trashed the reports appearing in a section of the media on the moves to sabotage DMRC’s prospects and that the firm would only be made a consultant for preliminary works as totally baseless.
The letter to the Union government was prepared after consultations with the Sreedharan, he said.
