Kerala govt employees to get Rs 3,500 as Onam bonus
The State Government on Tuesday announced a bonus of Rs.3,500 to all its employees who draw salary up to Rs.18,150 for the Onam festival which falls on September 7.
Those who draw salary more than Rs.18,150 would not be eligible for bonus, but would get a festival allowance of Rs.2,500, Finance Minister KM Mani Said here.
The government employees would also be eligible for a festival advance of Rs.10,000, he said.
Bonus, festival allowance and advance would be given along with the salary for the month of August, he said.
Apart from regular staff, temporary and contingent employees and anganwadi workers would also be eligible for festival allowance, he said.
