The Admission Supervisory Committee for Professional Colleges has directed the Kerala Private Medical College Management Association (KPMCMA) to cancel all admissions given from outside the qualified rank list of 408 candidates from the entrance examination that was held earlier this year.
In a statement here, the ASC, headed by Justice J.M. James, said the details of the admission process for the 35 per cent management quota seats and 15 per cent NRI quota seats of KPMCMA member colleges, which were directed to be filed before the ASC, were provided by eight colleges, viz., Sree Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences; Sree Gokulam Medical College; KMCT Medical College; MES Medical College; Travancore Medical College; SUT Medical College; Malabar Medical College; and the Azeezia Medical College.
However, the replies were ‘incomplete, erroneous and against the norms set by the ASC’, the statement said. On further scrutiny of the list of candidates, given by the member colleges, the ASC also noted that the member colleges had admitted unqualified candidates.
